Hold point inspections provide targeted oversight at predetermined stages of the coating process. The inspector observes critical milestones such as surface preparation acceptance, lining or coating application, and final inspection.
This approach offers cost-effective quality control while still documenting compliance at key points. Assurance is limited to the observed conditions at each hold point, and full in-process inspection is recommended for critical or long-term assets.
